I think Hannibal has ruined television and storytelling for me, and by ruined I mean elevated my standards higher so that now within me will always linger a sense of disappointment in other reimaginings – of God and the Devil, of what it is to be Man. The cinematography itself is a prime example of the visual medium being used to tell the inside story, of what something feels like rather than looks like, and is such a masterclass in visual storytelling that I am blown away. I know I’m so late to the game, but I’m here now, and I guess that’s what matters.

“1. Your skin may never be perfect, and that’s okay. 2. Life is too short not to have the underwear, the coffee, and the haircut you want. 3. Everyone (including your family, your coworkers, and your best friend) will talk about you behind your back, and you’ll talk about them too. It doesn’t mean you don’t love each other. 4. It’s okay to spend money on things that make you happy. 5. Sometimes without fault or reason, relationships deteriorate. It will happen when you’re six, it will happen when you’re sixty. That’s life.”
